- The Garage Theatre Troupe
- The Garage Theatre Troupe of Minneapolis is operated by artistic director and renowned omnipotentist Dr. Floyd Truman. Original members of the company include: Rachel Holscher, Emily Pollnow, Maggie Blanchard, Neil Johnson, Floyd Truman, Justin Yaeger, Mike Boucher, Raul C. Templonuevo, Neil Bonneson, Michael White, and the “O’Toole Quartet,” comprised of singers and dancers Eileen, Martin, John and Patrick O’Toole.
- Thus far Dr. Truman has directed five plays written for the troupe by Michael J. White, including:
- “Z,” a father/daughter melodrama set in war-ravaged Vietnam. Opened and closed on September 25, 2001.
- “Mr. Chu’s Used Shoes,” a tale of employee drug testing and cultural awakening. Opened and closed on April 6, 2002.
- “Good Clean Terror,” a geopolitical farce in a world where Globalists always get the last laugh. Opened and closed on August 12, 2003.
- “The Arm Hair Academy for Girls,” a children’s tragicomedy about a boarding school student and her freakishly long arm hair. Opened and closed on May 15, 2005.
- “Martine and Emile,” aka “The Wedding Episode,” a mosaic account of marital love and intercourse. Co-written by Patrick O’Toole. Opened and closed on May 25, 2008.
UPDATE: Dr. Truman recently announced his intention to direct a sixth Garage Theatre Troupe production, tentatively titled “Pessimist Radio with Dr. Floyd Truman.” The show is set to open and close when Dr. Truman feels up to it.
